Video Journalism

I have six years of experience producing and reporting video stories, including my time as an intern. I was an on-air reporter for Bronxnet and have produced pieces for BBC News, ABC Nightline, PBS News, and FRONTLINE. In college, I was also heavily involved with the production and management of my school's broadcast station.

Minerals extracted from the earth help power many of our devices, from computers to car batteries. But what about the communities whose land is at the center of acquiring these minerals?

I pitched and co-produced this piece. I worked on booking, editing, script writing, as an archival producer and as an

overall producer.

I wrote and produced this piece on Mary Gold Ross. I worked on the research, reached out on archival material, dealt with usage agreements and also ordered graphics. Mary Golda Ross was the first female Native American engineer.

For this project, I filmed and conducted the interviews and edited the piece with Premiere. I worked closely with two other students to find characters for the story, write a script and develop thoughtful questions. Theo golden speaks about how his identity has influenced his work as a tattoo artist.

If you call a taxi in some U.S. cities, the car that picks you up might not have a driver. Self-driving “robo-cabs” are generating a lot of interest and controversy, and major technical questions remain. Aarian Marshall, a staff writer for WIRED who covers transportation, joins Ali Rogin to discuss the state of autonomous vehicles on the road. I pitched, helped write and found video cover for this piece.

At Frontline, I worked on several documentaries as an editorial intern.

I made video logs, audio logs, translated language in audio clips, fact-checked early and final cuts, flagged necessary blurs and bleeps, helped with transcripts and script checking, attended producer meetings, helped with social media outreach, summarized producer notes, and did research and timelines for different documentaries.

I produced a special for BBC World News on the Middle East. For the special, I wrote all of the scripts for a 26-minute show, including the headlines. I was also responsible for booking guests, editing the content, writing the straps, and making the graphics. Here is a clip of the show's first few minutes.
